Hello all (err, 2) of you!
My name is Meredith- I am a writer, editor and Account Executive at a marketing firm here in my hometown of Wichita, Kansas. I have a love for all things fashion and fitness (I read more fitness magazines than most people), and have been since I was a junior in high school. I really do love eating clean (most of the time, unless sweet potato fries are involved) and I try not to go TOO over board on chocolate and white wine. But hey, a girl’s still gotta live a little, right?
Through the years, despite my true and passionate love of fitness and health, we have certainly had our ups and downs over the last 7 or so years. While I’ve certainly never been “fat” by any means, I have struggled with never quite feeling happy or comfortable in my skin. It’s been rough going, and I am the first to admit that my relationship with food and fitness has not always been the healthiest. Far from it.
That being said, this blog is designed as more than just a healthy living blog. It is a way for me to share my journey- all of the ups, downs, trials, triumphs, frustrations and successes I encounter along these next 6 months or so of “marriage: year 1”.
In May of 2014, I married the kindest, most humble, most loving and incredible man I have ever, and will ever, meet. He’s my best friend (sleep through that remark), and the love of my life. He is such a blessing to me, and so far we’re enjoying our newlywed lives together.
So yes, part of this blog is aimed at telling the story of my journey as a newlywed, trying to find balance between marriage, work, fitness and fun. It isn’t just about getting back in shape, however. It’s about becoming the woman I have always wanted to be, and experiencing life with my new husband.
Great job! Love it!
Thanks for stopping by my blog and for the ‘like’! Your blog is great!
